At Yancoal, our people are our most valuable asset and we invest in developing our management and leadership talent throughout our operations.Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Maintenance Crew Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to develop a high degree of proficiency and working knowledge of Yarrabee’s plant and equipment; moreover, you must be able to perform service and repairs with minimal supervision from the Crew Supervisor.The successful applicant will have:Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)Current Queensland Driver’s licenceThorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulationsAdvanced and proven mechanical knowledge on heavy equipment and fault findingSkills and ExperienceSound communication skillsBasic computer skills, word processing and spreadsheetHighly skilled and proven ability to identify and diagnose faults on heavy mining equipmentAbility to self-manage, prioritise workload and demonstrate a strong work ethicAbility to exercise initiative and work both independently and cooperatively as requiredSkilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issuesPrevious experience in the maintenance of plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environmentProven previous experience with fault finding on heavy mining equipmentYancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
