What you’ll do:
This position will provide job support, training and assessment to Production Staff, Production Apprentices, and trainees, ensuring they acquire the skills to operate the facility safely and effectively, while contributing to the Production and Maintenance teams.
***This is a 2-year max term contract opportunity based in Iagifu Ridge, Papua New Guinea. The role operates on a 28/28 roster flying out of Brisbane airport.
Key accountabilities include:
1. Deliver production assessments and training, ensuring compliance with the Competency Based Training (CBT) program and company standards.
2. Collaborate with Operations Training Team Lead, Production Team, and others to develop effective training strategies, plans, and materials aligned with the CBT program.
3. Plan and organise assessment and training schedules based on CBT program and Production Team requirements.
4. Role model safety values and promote Health, Safety, Environment, and Security policies to maintain a safe work environment.
5. Work with Operations Readiness and Assurance Manager, Operations Training Team Lead, and peers to evaluate and improve the CBT program.
6. Manage training and assessment records, ensuring timely system entry.
7. Develop training and assessment resources as needed.
What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidate will have senior experience in Control of Work (CoW) / Permit to Work (PTW) systems, accreditation in Training and Assessing TAE40116 or TAE40122, and Australian PMA 08 Cert IV, equivalent qualifications or demonstrable experience. Your ability of quick thinking, organisation, and adaptability are essential, along with:
1. Extensive experience in Oil & Gas Operations.
2. Substantial experience in a Training Lead/Supervisor role.
3. Proficient MS Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
4. High attention to detail and good communication skills.
5. Takes ownership of assignments from start to finish, reports progress and challenges.
6. Strong judgment and discretion on confidential matters.
7. Strong time management and administration ability.
8. Experience dealing with Senior Management personnel.
