Mackay Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a HRIS Administrator to join our Employee Services Team. This opportunity is available on a Temporary Full-Time basis until 30 June 2025. About this opportunity:The HRIS Administrator is responsible for providing support regarding the operation, security, and maintenance of Council's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and its associated interfaces. Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Qualifications (Certificate level and above) in Information Technology, Human Resource Management or an equivalent level of relevant expertise and experience
Demonstrated experience in providing support regarding the operation, security, and maintenance of the HRIS
Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated problem solving capability with the ability to contribute to the interpretation and administration of matters for which there are no clearly defined and established procedures
Proven ability to produce quality reports, procedures, presentations, training, and operating guidelines
Knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles in the use of technology both in relation to the Microsoft Office Suite of products and in relation to the management and application of HRIS.
Desirable:
Experience and/or qualifications in Project Management
Experience in process improvement
Knowledge of Human Resource Management practices gained through experience and/or related studies in Human Resource Management.
