Apply now Job no: 499496Work type: Permanent Full TimeClassification: Band 2 ($62,806 - $64,160 pa)Categories: Trades & LabourAbout the roleIn this role, as a member of the City Works Maintenance team, you will perform assigned manual cleaning tasks to the specified standards, ensuring they meet Council and customer expectations focused on delivering high-quality service. Additionally, ensure that all plant and equipment needed for the role are properly maintained in line with our operational requirements. The role requires a 5am start, for which you will be paid an early start allowance.Key responsibilities include:Displaying a positive personal contribution in undertaking daily duties involving amenity cleaning, street cleaning, and roadside litter collection, assisting the Team in providing a customer-focused service.The incumbent will be required to undertake the following cleaning duties (but not limited to):Manual street cleaning.Minor graffiti/stain removal.Litter collection including roadside.Toilet, shower & changeroom cleaning.Assist with the accurate recording and completion of all operational documentation that records the activities of the team, and forward same to the supervisor on a weekly basis.Follow all lawful and reasonable directions given by the Team Leader and/or the Supervisor.Operating and maintaining plant and equipment in an effective and efficient manner and in compliance with relevant laws/regulations, codes of practice, and City Services directives, and wear and use the required personal safety equipment which will be provided.To ensure that the vehicle is well maintained in accordance with operational requirements and is left in a secure state with all cleaning materials and equipment restocked at the end of each working day.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have a clear ability and desire to always represent the City of Greater Geelong in a professional manner and have pride in the work being performed.
