Looking for a Carpentry Supervisor to commence ASAP in the Rockhampton Region, working Monday - Friday! Your new company Our client is a key player in Queensland's $50 billion building industry, employing 235,000 people. They maintain vital assets like schools and hospitals. With 1,500 staff and extensive facilities, it supports regional areas, trains young tradespeople, and swiftly responds to disasters, ensuring community resilience and industry stability. They are currently looking for a Carpentry Supervisor to join their team on a short-term basis with the possibility of extension. Your new role Facilitate project planning and execution by effectively supervising and developing office staff, field staff, and subcontractors. Conduct thorough condition assessments and estimations to ensure projects are efficient and cost-effective. Oversee construction, maintenance, and upgrade work, providing supervisory services. Quoting for building projects, and preparing accurate estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including material lists and construction schedules. Manage and perform condition assessments for clients, including building inspections and material surveys, and collect samples of suspected asbestos for lab testing. Implement the safety management system (SMS). What you'll need to succeed Construction related trade qualifications - highly desirable. Driver's licence. White Card. Previous supervisory/leading hand experience. Be willing to travel for work when required. Ability to complete a police check. Must have contactable references.
