About the role
Enjoy working with all new state of the art production facilities and innovative computer design software to enable the creation of one off or multiple joinery items quickly and efficiently. This role will suit you if you crave variety and creativity in your day-to-day work, enjoy supporting and mentoring a small team by sharing your skills and knowledge. Reporting to the Workshop Manager who is genuinely a very down to earth person that you can enjoy a bit of banter with throughout the day. You will part of the entire process from start to finish and enjoy seeing the fruits of your labour
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage a small team of qualified trades to ensure completion of tasks, projects within specified timelines
* Review and assess all work to ensure the highest of quality, deliver defect free work orders
* Craft custom joinery items, including cabinets, shelves, doors, and the list goes on.
* Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, drawings, and client specifications.
* Conformance to customer/client specifications, company standards and regulation requirements.
* Ensure safety and environmental requirements are met, contribute to the maintenance, organisation and cleanliness of the state of the art workshop.
Skills & experience
* Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery with expereince ideally as a leading hand
* Experience in the production and manufacturing methodologies of joinery can use CNC machine and edge bander
* Demonstrated skills in reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
* Strong leadership skills, ability to maintain a positive workplace environment and build a good rapport with all stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, good communication and numerical skills
* High attention to detail, excellent problem solving abilities and great time management
* Current Drivers Licence, and white card
