Reporting to the Nursing Director Surgical Services and ICU Division, the Service Development Officer manages the delivery of large-scale initiatives to support enhanced surgical services delivery across West Moreton Health. The position will be pivotal in ensuring key divisional objectives are met successfully and within defined timelines.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:Project management skills and experience, with a proven record of success in services development, improvement and performance management, in a health leadership/management role within a contemporary organisational environment.High level analytical, planning and problem-solving skillsHighly developed skills and experience in the areas of service management including finances and resources to influence and drive organisational outcomes.Proven ability to critically analyse and interpret clinical and administrative data to inform surgical service improvement initiatives.High level written communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality briefings, project documentation and complex reports.An extensive knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Queensland Health system, including innovative and contemporary models of care, key performance and planning challenges and external factors impacting on current and future resourcing, and advise or act accordingly.Mandatory Requirements:Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.About West Moreton HealthWest Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with a community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
