Their products are locally manufactured and supplied to customers in Australia and throughout the world.The planning role is critical in the business and will require the successful individual to understand all facets of production planning in an engineering/manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work closely with all areas of the business to understand processes, including typical usage, sales, orders, and inventory, and translate them into system requirements to ensure the flow of products through the Customer Delivery process is achieved.You will be responsible for creating a production plan for all products, including the procurement of necessary materials and establishing the necessary workflow to ensure you meet company goals relating to quality, delivery, and costs. Experience in steel fabrication and manufacturing is essential, along with strong ERP/MRP system compliance and/or development.Benefits: Pivotal role with a highly successful Gold Coast business Be proud to be part of an "Australian Made" Company Newly created hands-on role, utilising your technical, trade & ERP/MRP systems skills and experience Duties: Collaborate with all business units to gather and document business requirements for MRP system enhancements Utilise sales data, forecasts, production history, and other information to develop production planning schedules Assist in the configuration and customisation of MRP modules to meet business needs Ensure accurate Bill of Materials is set up for all products & aligned with drawings and inventory specifications Ensure inventory system and master data is set up and reflective of stock on hand Develop production planning tools and checks to ensure seamless manufacturing processes Plan & Project Manage scheduled work in conjunction with the Operations Team Leaders Monitor, identify and anticipate critical activities and bottlenecks Generate purchase orders for raw materials Coordinate supplier and contractor relationships Skills and Experience: Relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Trade Qualification Understanding of manufacturing processes and how they integrate with ERP/MRP systems Experienced in fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly activities Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications Strong production planning/scheduling experience Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining ERP/MRP systems Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment Experience with managing Inventory and Bills of Material Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines Strong Safety focus with a preventative proactive approach and the ability to manage any OH&S issues to resolution MUST be a Resident or Citizen of Australia How to apply: All applications are to be submitted online – click APPLY.
