About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Controller to join our team at Carole Park. This role is critical to managing stock levels and ensuring operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with Australian and US production and operations teams, collaborating across different time zones to maintain a streamlined and effective inventory process.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about process improvement. We also offer a 9-day fortnight to support your work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Inventory Accuracy: Ensure accurate records and resolve discrepancies.
* Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to meet production needs and minimise costs.
* Performance Analysis: Track key metrics (turns, stockouts) and identify improvement opportunities.
* Process Improvement: Participate in initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma to optimize inventory flow.
* Cycle Counts: Coordinate regular cycle counts at each inventory holding location.
* Stock Taking: Coordinate physical counts in all branches, perform inventory variance analysis and manage implementation of corrective actions.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align inventory processes, improve communication, and support shared goals.
* Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in inventory management.
* Strong understanding of inventory costs and how to balance carrying, ordering, and shortage costs.
* Familiarity with inventory management systems (Cin7, NetSuite) and cycle counting methods (ABC analysis, random sampling).
* Strong analytical skills, including experience with techniques like Pareto analysis to address discrepancies.
* Ability to create clear, detailed procedures and communicate effectively across teams.
* Experience managing inventory classification and lead time demand to optimize stock levels.
* Formal qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
