The Role
The Postdoctoral/Research Fellow will be based in the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at ANU, undertaking work on an ARC Discovery Project in observational cosmology.
About the Project
The project focuses on using 4MOST Hemisphere Survey observations to measure galaxy distances and velocities, map local structures, and test the predicted approach to homogeneity and the Cosmological Principle.
The Ideal Candidate
* A PhD (or awarding of a PhD within six months of appointment) in astronomy or astrophysics.
* A strong track record of research in observational cosmology or a related field.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with staff and students in a cross-disciplinary academic environment.
