About the Role
Great opportunity to join our Pharmacy team as a Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine Pharmacist Team Leader based at Kingston Centre. This is an ongoing full time role, part time applicants maybe considered.
As one of our Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine Pharmacist Team Leaders, you will lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing exceptional clinical pharmacy services in ambulatory and bed-based and home-based inpatient settings. Working alongside our second team leader, you will lead our highly regarded Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine Pharmacy team, providing exceptional and innovative holistic patient-centred care to older people.
The team provides clinical pharmacy services to geriatric medicine, geriatric evaluation and management (GEM), rehabilitation, bariatric medicine, aged persons mental health and movement disorder units. The Kingston Centre is internationally recognised as a Centre of Excellence for movement disorders and is the base for the Monash Aging Research Centre (MONARC).
Working in Victoria’s largest Hospital Pharmacy Department, you can enhance your leadership and management skills through a broad range of experiences and opportunities. Our Pharmacy leadership team and team of pharmacy clinical educators will support you to develop your leadership, management and clinical pharmacy skills through individualised training tailored to your needs.
A Day in the Life
Working closely with the Assistant Deputy Director of Pharmacy, you will lead and develop the clinical pharmacy services in Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine to provide expertise in medication management within a multidisciplinary team.
In this important role you will:
* Support, guide and work alongside your team members to provide a consistently safe, high quality, efficient and effective service
* Coordinate daily workflow, staffing and priorities
* Support the training of pharmacy staff and students, with assistance from our team of clinical educators
* Ensure relevant key performance targets are met or exceeded
* Participate in research and quality improvement activities
Each week you will have a day so that you can focus on team management tasks, developing your team members and honing your own leadership and management skills.

About You
You already have significant hospital pharmacy, clinical and leadership experience with proven abilities in developing and implementing new services and in assessing quality improvements. You are highly professional, lead by example and role-model expectations to others. Your positive approach is infectious and people enjoy working with you.
Relevant postgraduate qualification, such as Master of Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent will be highly regarded.

* Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
