About the role
TAFE SA is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Childcare Quality Systems and Compliance Coordinator to join our Student & Community Engagement team. In this role, you will develop and oversee quality control systems within the childcare network, ensuring compliance with the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework, and other relevant regulations. You will lead quality improvement initiatives, support marketing efforts, manage reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive high standards across TAFE SA’s childcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of quality and compliance policies in partnership with Curriculum Coordinators.
* Provide advice on licensing and quality assessment requirements, staying updated on regulations.
* Coordinate Quality Improvement and Reconciliation Action Plans and oversee the childcare network’s digital presence.
* Manage data analysis, project development, and reporting for childcare services.
* Support TAFE SA Childcare Centres’ Parent Advisory Committees and foster staff development through training and professional learning.
The Successful Candidate will have:
* Demonstrated ability to identify and effectively review business, administrative, and operational processes, analysing and interpreting information to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people on sensitive and complex issues, applying appropriate communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving techniques, and remaining composed under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and contribute effectively within a team to achieve shared outcomes.
* Experience in using initiative, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving to analyse information, evaluate alternatives, and formulate solutions that improve systems and work practices, focusing on quality and productivity enhancements.
* Demonstrated success in building and maintaining effective networks, alliances, and operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
* Ability to apply legislative requirements in business activities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
* Practical and comprehensive knowledge of the Early Childhood National Quality Framework, as well as relevant State and Federal legislation and regulations (Education Standards Board).
* Proven experience in writing a variety of documents, including executive and ministerial briefings.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
* Out of hours work will be required
* Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
* Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
