About the role Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will be involved in all aspects of Canola plant breeding trials throughout southern NSW and work as part of a highly motivated, small team based in Wagga Wagga.
Experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential as on the job training would be provided for the right candidate Main Responsibilities (must be demonstrated in your application letter/resume) • Working with growers to locate field sites • Pack, sow, maintain & harvest Canola variety evaluation field and nursery experiments • Application of agricultural chemicals • Collection of field data • Maintaining accurate records • Safety is a priority; embrace safety and the environment in all tasks and activities undertaken • Liaise with Service Providers and other key industry personnel to ensure trials are conducted as per protocol • Operate and maintain a range of small plot research equipment Requirements Education / Experience / Skills • Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, science, or related field • Current driver's license and willingness to travel • Agronomy experience • Operation of agricultural machinery & modern GPS systems • Excellent communication, analytical skills and attention to detail • Well-developed time management skills • Motivated to work as part of a small team, as well as independently Application Agribusiness Recruitment Pty Ltd thanks all applicants.
