Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the non-clinical support services team as a security/orderly at Sandringham Hospital.
The Security/ Orderly/ Porter will operate as part of the support services team and is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, patients, residents and visitors; ensure timely, efficient and least
disruptive transfer of patients and equipment within the Hospital and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for all staff, residents and patients.
Applicants should have flexible hours, including night and afternoon shifts as well as weekend work. This role requires good time management and organisational skills as well as the ability to follow directions.
Experience and Qualifications Required
6. Preferred Minimum Certificate II in Security Operations
7. Hold a current Victorian Security License
8. Possess a current level two ( or higher) First Aid Certificate
9. Working with Children's Check
10. Experience in site emergency evacuation procedures
Skills
11. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to relay messages and follow instructions
12. Be able to liaise effectively with other staff within the designated work area.
13. Demonstrate ability to understand different needs of patients and residents, including cultural needs
14. Demonstrate preparedness to multi-skill and work in different areas of the Hospital.
