You’ll manage a varied caseload, focusing on suicide prevention, self-harm risk assessments, and brief interventions, while playing a key role in rehabilitation and reintegration efforts. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Wooroloo, WA. As a Psychologist in the Psychological Health Services team, you’ll make a positive impact by: Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to inmates. Conducting risk assessments, case formulations, and developing treatment plans. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care. Preparing accurate, defendable documentation and progress reports. Supporting inmate rehabilitation and reintegration programs. To be successful in this role, you’ll have: A degree in Psychology and full registration with AHPRA. Experience delivering individual counselling, ideally in correctional or institutional settings. Demonstrated skills in conducting risk assessments and clinical interventions. Strong report-writing and documentation skills. A commitment to cultural sensitivity and working within diverse teams. If applying as a psychologist: Bachelor’s degree in psychology (BPsych or BAPsych-Honours); OR Master's/Doctoral Degree in Psychology (Forensic, Clinical, Counselling); AND full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association (AHPRA). If applying as a Social Worker: Bachelor’s degree in social work; AND eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
