The Role: As a Technical Sales Representative, your primary focus will be to drive sales and manage key accounts. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, generating leads, and expanding the company's customer base across various sectors, including security, fire, mining, and industrial projects. This role will involve regular client visits, cold calls, and the opportunity to work closely with wholesalers, contractors, and end users. Key Responsibilities: Sales Growth & Account Management: Achieve agreed sales and margin targets, focusing on new accounts and increasing revenue from undercapitalised product categories. Create sales opportunities across product groups, including copper and fibre structured cabling, and infrastructure verticals like transport, healthcare and education. Work with electrical wholesalers to ensure stock availability and improve market penetration. Identify and capture new market opportunities, expanding into non-traditional areas and industries. Regularly engage with key customers, ensuring strong relationships and loyalty through effective communication and follow-ups. Customer Relationship & Market Development: Establish regular calling patterns for key customers and manage relationships through the CRM system. Provide technical support, including product demonstrations, quotations, and training for key wholesalers, contractors, and end-users. Assist with product training and contribute to new product introductions and market strategy development. Engage with decision-makers and stakeholders to specify products for use in various projects and verticals.
