Overview of the Position: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electromagnetic theory, RF engineering, in particular passive RF and antenna design principles. This role involves designing, developing, and testing products for various applications, ensuring optimal performance, and meeting our clients' specific requirements.ResponsibilitiesMain Tasks:Design and develop antennas and passive RF systems using state-of-the-art design principles and tools.Perform electromagnetic simulations and analyses to optimise predicted antenna and passive RF component performance and cross-check with measured results for specific applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including assembly technicians, sales and marketing, and various customer team members, to integrate antennas into final product designs.Conduct experimental tests and validations in the lab, including near-field and far-field measurements.Analyse and interpret test data, prepare technical reports, and make recommendations for performance improvements.Stay abreast of the latest developments in antenna technology and contribute to innovation within the company.Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality assurance teams during the production phase.Participate in peer reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Master's degree or PhD is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in antenna design and development, preferably in the telecommunications and defence markets.Proficient in antenna simulation software such as HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, FEKO or WiPL-D.Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, RF circuits, and microwave engineering.Experience with a variety of antenna types, such as microstrip patch antennas, phased arrays, log-periodic dipole arrays, cavity backed spirals, etc.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesAppliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing
