The Role Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Director of Emergency Medicine. The Emergency Department manages over 28,000 presentations annually. Reporting directly to the Director of Emergency Medicine, the Deputy Director will be responsible for: Supporting the Director in ensuring excellence in emergency medicine. Promoting and delivering exceptional training in emergency medicine to Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) trainees, prevocational trainees, and other health professionals and students. Providing high-quality clinical care, including the assessment and treatment of all categories of patients presenting to the ED, adhering to best practice guidelines, and stabilizing acutely ill patients when rostered clinically. Collaborating with the Director and Medical Workforce Unit to maintain the senior roster for the Emergency Department. Acting on behalf of the Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine during periods of leave or as operationally required.
