This is a Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.
About the Role:
1. This role works independently and autonomously with a range of adult clients requiring an OT assessment, and possible interventions in their homes.
2. The interventions can range from advice and recommendations to prescription of equipment and modifications.
3. The role also provides coverage to residents and acute inpatients in Multi-Purpose Services in smaller towns around Tamworth.
4. Orientation and support will be provided by your manager and other member of the wider team.
Where you'll be working:

This position is based at Tamworth Community Health Centre in the Integrated Aged Care Team, which is made up of includes the Transitional Aged Care Program (nursing, OT, PT, AHA, Domestic), Clinical Nurse Consultants specialising in Dementia/Delirium, Psychogeriatrics, Continence and Women’s Health, End of Life Clinical Nurse Educator, and immunisation programs.
6. This role works closely with Occupational Therapists from the Tamworth Community Health NECACS team and is clinically supported by a Level 4 OT in that team.
7. Tamworth, with a population of 60,000 is a modern progressive city set in a picturesque backdrop of tree covered mountains.
