The Opportunity Our client is a well respected leader in high-quality workwear and safety gear and they are on the hunt for a driven and strategic Senior BDM to drive sales in the mining & construction sector.
This role is a role for someone who thrives on hunting new business while also possessing the vision and capability to build and lead a national sales team as that is what this role will evolve into in the near future.
Initially, you'll focus on driving new sales, landing major accounts, and shaping the company's sales strategy. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to grow the sales function, recruiting and mentoring a national team, all while continuing to lead from the front as a high-performing individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities while managing existing key accounts. Design and implement a national sales strategy, ensuring long-term scalable growth. Target large-scale contracts with major industry players like in mining & construction, Oil & Gas. Stay attuned to the marketplace and upcoming projects, introducing our client to procurement teams and project managers. Must be able to penetrate large organisations and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders. Systemise and structure sales processes for repeatability. Balance time between on-the-road sales (Mon-Thurs) and office-based strategy (Fridays). Work towards becoming a preferred supplier through tenders. Eventually build and lead a national sales team, recruiting and mentoring high-performing BDMs & Account Managers. What We're Looking For Sales Hunter & Leader – Proven experience in winning new business and a passion for scaling sales teams. Industry Experience – Background in selling high-volume consumables (workwear, PPE, tools, industrial components etc). Contacts & Relationships – Existing connections in mining, oil & gas, and construction industries. Strategic & Hands-On – Can balance big-picture thinking with on-the-ground sales execution. Process-Oriented – Can build a repeatable sales system to drive growth. Integrity & Reliability – Operates with honesty, dependability, and a business-owner mindset, treating the company's success as their own. The Package Base Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Profit Share: Potential to buy into company equity
Car Allowance: $20K
