Based at our Head Office in Darra, Stoddart Group is looking for a strong candidate to take the wheel and drive our National Estimating and Purchasing (NEP) team to deliver excellence to our customers.The Group Estimating & Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall estimation process for all business products.With a strong understanding of the residential construction industry, the successful candidate will have a keen eye for business improvements, seeking opportunities to improve efficiencies and maximising existing internal processes, systems and platforms.You will be a strong leader; ready to influence, guide and mentor your team to both organisational and personal growth and success.Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to): Leadership and development of team both locally and offshore.Develop a 12-month NEP operational plan, including department KPI's aligning with business goals and objectives.Review, improve and maximise internal systems and processes to ensure efficiencies across the department.Ensure estimating price models are maintained, updated and reflective of all cost variables.Ensure all quoting and ordering processes conform and are compliant with the relevant Building Acts and Workplace Health & Safety legislation in each state.Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of all employees within the NEP team and ensure adequate allocation of resources to maintain service requirements to our customers.Critically assess and analyse all complex & "non-standard" customer build requests to ensure overall job viability alongside our expansive branch network.Develop effective, collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.Strong working knowledge of residential construction projects and national construction codes and legislation.Trade or Industry background highly desirable.Proven leadership and management skills to grow and develop employees and teams.Experience in managing and motivating a large team to achieve business outcomes.Ability to drive sustainable change including cultural and operational processes.Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.A customer service and solutions focused mindset.Ability to build collaborative and influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.What's on Offer: A chance to take ownership of your role and bring enthusiasm to a growing organisation and team.Free onsite parking & West Brisbane location to avoid the peak hour city traffic.Dynamic team culture where you can contribute to delivering great results for our customers.Employee benefits platform with discounts on restaurants, electronics, gym memberships and more!Employee Assistance Program for all staff and immediate family members.Flexible work arrangements available.End of Year Shutdown will not delay the recruitment process for this position.Join a reputable, national company and make a significant impact in our National Estimating & Purchasing team today.All candidates reflective of the above attributes and experience are encouraged to apply now!Your application will include the following questions: How many years' experience do you have as a Purchasing Manager?
