PO2/ASO5 Asset Planning & Procurement Officer - SALHNSouthern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Corporate ServicesSalary $88,255- $97,667 (Pro Rata) PO2 | Salary $85,790 - $95,413 (Pro Rata) ASO5 | Full Time – until June 2027Join our Biomedical Engineering Team as an Asset Planning and Procurement Officer!The primary objective of the Asset Planning and Procurement Officer BME is to assure the safety, effectiveness, availability, and compliance of biomedical technology used directly for patient diagnosis, treatment, or monitoring for or in connection with the public hospital and healthcare facilities of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN).About the role:Reporting to the Manager, Biomedical Engineering, this role contributes to the procurement of biomedical technology. Duties for the role will include:Contribute to the professional formulation of acquisition plans, tender assessments and recommendations, and participate in complex contractor negotiations to ensure quality outcomes for procurement processes are achieved.Conduct professional consultations with relevant staff across a range of sites to support and inform the prioritisation of complex procurement processes for new biomedical engineering devices and systems across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.Provide a range of professional expertise and advice to relevant Southern Adelaide Local Health Network staff in relation to biomedical technology trends and requirements, to support the address of matters related to procurement and acquisition policies, procedures and plans, technical specifications, and tender and contract management processes and issues.Contribute professional expertise to communications with clients to ensure they are kept informed of equipment changes and upgrades and to gather their feedback relating to services provided by staff.About you:Degree level qualification in Biomedical Engineering or similar field.Experience in the procurement of biomedical technology and government procurement frameworks and processes.Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills across a multi-disciplinary environment including the capacity to undertake effective liaison and communication with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively under limited direction, either independently or in a team, and to analyse complex information, meet deadlines and work under pressure, and effectively use work-related resources and information.Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.Want To Know More?
