As the EL2 Director, Financial Control & Reporting, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure high standards in financial management, while contributing to Australia's energy transition.Role Responsibilities This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position reporting to a commercially savvy Melbourne based CFO responsible for the following:Managing day-to-day operations of financial control, government reporting, and procurement.Leading a team of finance professionals, fostering their development and performance.Delivering high-quality financial reporting, including monthly board reports and audited annual financial statements.Engaging with key government stakeholders on funding and policy proposals, including preparing financial modelling and Cabinet submissions.Overseeing critical functions such as taxation, cash/treasury management, and financial compliance.Driving enhanced accountability and financial governance across the organisation through innovative strategies.Advising senior leadership on financial planning, risk management, and budget strategies.About You You are a results-oriented leader with a proven track record of success in financial governance and reporting, ideally within a public sector or government context. Key attributes include:Qualifications: A tertiary degree in Accounting is essential; CA/CPA certification highly desirable.
