Job Title Senior Sustainability Manager Job Description Summary The Senior Sustainability Manager plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of the sustainability scope for a large national client. The Senior Sustainability Manager will be responsible for progressing the client’s sustainability initiatives, delivering and tracking resource efficiency projects and ensuring the integration of sustainable practices across all business operations. This position involves the successful management of a diverse range of stakeholders to developing and implementing strategies to minimize the client’s environmental impact, promote social responsibility, and support long-term economic sustainability. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Leadership Provide a leadership focal point within Sustainability and the client Manage and mentor Sustainability personnel Develop and oversee the rollout of our ESG services to a key national client Ensure all outputs and deliverables are on time, of the highest quality and delivered efficiently Support the Sustainability leadership team in business planning and business development, including proposal writing and pricing Manage information and report to the client as required in relation to: Specific projects New initiatives Achievements against targets Liaise under direction with appropriate bodies (Industry Associations, Government Coordinating Agencies, electricity and water supply organisations, etc.) Articulate and live the C&W culture Comply with C&W’s HSSEQ policies and adhere to procedures and work instructions that are relevant to activities. Ensure an understanding and compliance with applicable safety requirements. Delivery Management and oversight of our ESG services to the client, including the delivery of policies and frameworks, reporting, resource efficiency, green leasing, and NABERS programs. Develop and cultivate strategic partnerships that allow Sustainability to enhance its service offerings and expand its scope of services. Manage and deliver sustainability programs from conception to roll-out. Continually identify and, where appropriate, deliver improvement and efficiency opportunities across client reporting suites. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to corporate real estate, facility management, finance and procurement. Deliver, manage and control the provision of Sustainability services’ offering in the most cost-effective manner. Business Development Build and foster a network of internal client and industry stakeholders Contribute to business bid requirements and development and pricing of new client solutions Background and Experience 10 years in sustainability Graduate qualifications in sustainability, engineering, environmental science or related discipline Demonstrated experience with ESG program development and delivery of associated plans Experience in built environment and real estate sustainability within government (desirable) The ability to work independently, use initiative and exercise sound judgment as a starter is a must Strong people and relationship and stakeholder management skills Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships Excellent report writing, analytical and data processing skills Knowledge of relevant energy and carbon management legislation, regulations and standards Proactive outlook in developing solutions to problems Excellent proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Required Qualifications Australian Citizenship Must hold or willing to obtain security clearance Based in Canberra Why join Cushman & Wakefield?
