Industrial & Employee Relations (Human Resources & Recruitment) DCL Engineering Group is an Australian owned and Indigenous Mechanical Engineering Business specialising in the industry of breakdown services and manufacturing of replacement parts as can be seen on www.dcleng.com.au.We support and encourage our business team to build with confidence and create value for our people, in turn our customers, and shareholders.We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR advisor to join our team of approximately 60-70 staff.This role will be based between our Head Office in Fairfield and will involve supporting our workshops in Port Kembla, Newcastle, and Chipping Norton.The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager & Office Manager and will provide on-site generalist HR advice and support.They will also ensure adherence to employment laws, industrial relations regulations, and HR policies, while assisting in executing employee life cycle activities and implementing best practices in HR initiatives and programs.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Collaborating with the Stakeholders to understand the business model and future resourcing and capability needs.Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from local to overseas markets.Manage the entire employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding.Manage the onboarding of Apprentices and liaise with MEGT/TAFE regarding their sign up.Executing the delivery of annual HR functional initiatives from performance management processes, training and development, salary reviews and employee reward process, talent management and succession planning.Partnering with stakeholders on employee relations matters, providing timely and accurate ER/IR advice.Developing, updating, and maintaining legislatively compliant HR policies and procedures, correspondence, documentation, forms, and templates.Maintaining relevant human resources records, information, and databases to ensure accuracy and availability of personnel information as required with the paramount ability to maintain confidentiality.To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who can bring the following skills and experience to the role: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or other relevant experience showing honesty, integrity & loyalty to your employer.Minimum 8 plus years' experience working as a Senior HR advisor, preferably from a manufacturing/engineering environment is imperative.Client orientated, capable of liaising with employees and managers in a professional and pleasant manner with good decision-making skills and escalating matters to senior business leaders.Demonstrated diplomacy & interpersonal skills to facilitate cooperation and encourage productive working relationships with all stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and proficient in interpreting and using key performance, demographic and financial data to positively impact the operations and success of the business.Demonstrate discretion and confidentiality in relation to all employee information and employment relations issues.Goal orientated and effective time management skills allowing for set deadlines to be achieved with demonstrated loyalty to our family company.Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.Work in a team environment that fosters getting the job done.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and proven experience using HRIS systems.High level written and verbal communication skills.In return you will be rewarded with an attractive salary package and job satisfaction whilst working within a dynamic team environment.If you are ready for a challenge and think you have what it takes, we want to hear from you.DCL is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.The successful candidate must have Australian Citizenship or legal Work Rights and must undertake a pre-employment medical assessment and National Police Check. #J-18808-Ljbffr
