About the Role The Engineering Services Supervisor is responsible for strategic coordination of maintenance for the Engineering Services Department, providing leadership and supervision to engineering department team members whilst fostering a positive workplace culture.
The role is required to oversee maintenance, preservation and strategic enhancement of Grampians Health buildings, grounds, plant and equipment in a safe and compliant manner utilising sound engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities Shall have had experience in the operation of buildings and equipment services in a large health care complex.
The person will possess appropriate tertiary qualifications.
Provide the necessary guidance and operation of the department's computerised asset management system.
Establish and maintain a programmed maintenance schedule for all maintenance systems, equipment and plant for the Grampians Health division of Ballarat and ensure Planned Maintenance Program retains compliance with federal, state and Department of Health legislation and guidelines.
Prioritise corrective and planned maintenance tasks for specified trades, optimising labour productivity and ensure delivery of service to client departments within agreed time limits.
Ensure work performed by trades and contractors is complicit with specified engineering department standards.
Potential risks, incidents and near misses are reviewed, documented and responded to appropriately.
Team members educated on risks associated with the department / workplace Skills & Experience Demonstrated years of electrical experience with respective trade qualification, in a commercial environment.
Ability for strong leadership, decisiveness, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage all areas of team members including development and succession planning Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of Asset Management, Capital Equipment & Project Procurement and Statutory Compliance Must have A class electrical licence Well-developed computer skills and use in Microsoft Office software Commitment to Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace Formal facility management qualifications or other disciplines relevant to the position Previous experience with computerised maintenance management, assets and building management systems The following will be highly regarded: Experience in the maintenance of electrical services in a large building environment.
HV operator's licence.
Current driver's licence.
