We are currently seeking an early career Cost Planner to join our thriving national procurement team in our Keswick office.
You will be responsible for securing first class and award-winning projects.
About you: Looking to start in the New Year, this role requires an individual who is highly motivated with a keen eye for detail and the ability to 'look outside the box'.
Your passion for construction and cost planning and estimating processes will show through with the quality and accuracy of your work.
You'll have sound technical knowledge and be able to adapt to the varied projects in our portfolio.
1 to 3 years of experience in cost planning, quantity surveying, estimating or project delivery rolesA proactive and delivery focused work ethicA bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting alternative bids, design optimisation, and value managementProducing tender deliverables and tender submissionsAssisting in the accurate and timely production of high-level estimates and cost plansAiding in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliersCollaborating closely with site and design teams, consultants and clients to ensure project objectives are metUsing your understanding of cost planning and estimating processes and systems including building practices, methodology and legislationAccurate and timely production of high-level estimates and cost plansReading and interpretation of plans, drawings and understanding price risk, making recommendations in regards to contract cost and profitabilityReviewing and understanding contract terms and conditionsPreparing and progressing cost plans from concept to constructionDelivery of cost plans through programs such as Cost X, Estimate One and MS ProjectA tertiary qualification in Construction Management / Quantity Surveying or similar is required.
