The Opportunity
Join us at the University of the Sunshine Coast as the Manager of Engagement & Innovation Services, where you will lead a high performing team of business partners, analysts, enterprise architects, and innovation engineers. Your role will focus on understanding strategic business capabilities, processes, and technology requirements across diverse university portfolios to drive efficient change. Serving as the crucial link between business units and IT, you will cultivate strong relationships, gather business needs, and oversee the delivery of IT services aligned with our strategic objectives. You will lead the ongoing development of enterprise architecture, provide expert IT business analysis, foster impactful business partnerships, and champion innovation initiatives from concept to reality, ensuring seamless integration and sustainable management.
You will
* Drive the university’s strategic plan by creating an Enterprise Architecture and Business Analysis practice that aligns processes and capabilities with sustainable, fit-for-purpose solutions;
* Discover innovation opportunities and solve operational challenges, designing solutions that address business needs while managing change and reducing risk;
* Build trust with key stakeholders to develop IT solutions, roadmaps, and strategies that align with the university’s vision and goals.

Your expertise in managing Enterprise Architecture platforms and creating frameworks will allow you to lead digital transformation with ease. Plus, you’re passionate about mentoring others, offering guidance, and creating an environment where your team can grow and succeed.
You will possess:
* Extensive experience with student information systems, research management systems, and enterprise resource planning.
* Strong technical architecture expertise, especially in designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft technologies in both cloud and on-premises environments (Windows and Linux servers).
* Proven ability to map business capabilities and align them with technology through design thinking and innovation practices.
* Solid understanding of legislation, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements in the Australian higher education sector.
* Deep experience in business engagement within large, complex organisations, knowing how to connect and collaborate effectively.
* Exceptional relationship management skills with a track record of leading and inspiring teams to deliver their best.
* Expertise in applying industry frameworks and methodologies such as ITIL 4.0, COBIT, NIST CSF, Agile, TOGAF, PRINCE2, DEVOPS, and Six Sigma to deliver optimal results.
