FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – Port Melbourne based – Victoria, AUS
Peak provide the cleanest and greenest Nitrogen and Hydrogen gas from our on-site gas generators. Working with your supportive local team – you will be guided and trained to become a world class compressor and gas generator technician. At Peak we primarily provide service and support to the world’s best professors, doctors and STEM expert to facilitate their ground-breaking discoveries in Australia and New Zealand.

Main KPI’s of a Peak FST:
1. Provide a high level of hands-on service and technical advice for all customer.
2. Install and test Peak products in house and in field
3. Perform Preventative Maintenances (PM’s) according to the service manual
4. Provide technical support + basic troubleshooting
5. Provide basic user start up/ shut down/ how to use our products
6. Escalate any issues to manager promptly
7. Correctly use necessary tools and equipment
8. Writes clear and concise service reports after every service.
9. Collaborates by sharing field knowledge with manager, other service technicians and Peak colleagues
10. Follows set processes, procedures and appointments
11. Maintains inventory and van stock by carrying out parts/ tooling checks.
12. Adheres to safety regulations and industry standards
Ideally, the successful candidate will have an understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases and it would be advantageous if you have a mechanical or electrical engineering degree or in a related subject. It’s important that you have good communication skills with the ability to prioritise your workflow.
You will also possess:
13. Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
14. Strong electro-mechanical skills and ability to follow equipment drawings and flow diagrams
15. Good practical skills and a methodical approach to resolving problems
16. Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
Please note: At this time many of our customers are requiring on-site service personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You may be required to share your vaccination status. There will be extensive weekly travel as part of this role.
