The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is an independent government agency which, in partnership with Basin governments, manages the Murray–Darling Basin's water resources in the national interest.
With the enactment of the Water Act 2007, the MDBA was established as an independent expertise-based statutory agency.
The MDBA aims to achieve a healthy working Basin for the benefit of all Australians.
The Murray–Darling Basin contains a rich diversity of natural environments that are unique in Australia and the world.
The Basin is also crucial to Australia's economy and home to 2.3 million Australians, including people from over 50 First Nations.

The Position : This role supports the MDBA's expense and travel management and Financial Management Information Systems.
The role will be involved in the delivery of all aspects of travel and expense management systems, including credit card management.
The Senior Travel Officer is a client-focused role who is required to manage tasks often with elements of complexity, especially those linked to travel and expense management.
They work under direction against established priorities and procedures while exercising autonomy about how work tasks are performed, managed and reported.
Your key responsibilities in this role are to : Working collaboratively in a team environment, and in-line with the Finance team offering, the Senior Travel Officer will: Demonstrate proven experience in delivering top-tier client service with professionalism and excellence.
Oversee tasks and address inquiries related to business travel bookings arrangements and credit card management.
Provide and deliver specialised expertise and technical knowledge in using Expense8, CTM (Corporate Travel Management) and credit card management systems.
Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintain composure while working under pressure.
Provide technical, analytical and administrative support to Expense8 System Administrator.
Utilise financial systems such as TechOne-OneGov and Expense8 for data capture, monitoring and reconciliation.
Emphasise quality assurance and strong attention to detail, with the capability to review and ensure the quality of work in accordance with business practices, financial delegations and procedures.
Preparation of accounts payable tasks in FMIS.
Contribute to the review and development of existing internal policies, guidelines and business improvement activities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice and assistance to achieve outcomes.
Provide advice and assistance to MDBA travel bookers.
Attend WoAG Travel meetings.
