About the role
Permanent Full Time opportunity to manage and coordinate the Grounds Maintenance Staff, Grounds and Gardening activities including maintenance, care and development of the RBWH Precinct. Provision of a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for the enjoyment of patients, staff and visitors. Ensure all Plant and Equipment Managed by this position is Maintained in accordance with Australian Standards, Mandatory Statutory Requirements and Queensland Health Specifications. You will also supervise any Gardening Contractors working on the RBWH Campus. Coordination of all pest control activities for the site.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
1. Adhere to RBWH and BEMS Department policy and procedures.
2. Contribute to the team approach policy of the BEMS Department and liaise with other staff at appropriate times to ensure efficiency is maintained in the Grounds and Gardening section and to coordinate work requirements.
3. Manage personal duties and responsibilities to achieve the highest standards at all times.
4. Maintain a demeanour, dress and professionalism that will enhance the image and morale of Grounds and Gardening Services in particular and RBWH as a whole.
5. Ensure work allocated to the Grounds and Gardening section is carried out promptly, efficiently and economically using the appropriate work practices and material for the particular application.
