About the client:
Goonyella Riverside is an open cut coal mine located 30 kilometres north of Moranbah in Queensland's Bowen Basin and is located on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people. Coal is exported on the Goonyella railway line to Hay Point, from where its sent to markets worldwide. The Goonyella mine commenced operations in 1971, merging with the adjoining Riverside mine in 1989.
About the role:
WorkPac is seeking an Data Control Officer to join our client for a 6 month duration within their rationalisation project.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Identify, interpret and analyse data using linking and statistical techniques to answer straightforward business problems including the identification of trends and/or patterns in simple data sets, and to create inferences or insights
* Implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality using best practice methodologies and industry recognised standards and processes
* Communicate with relevant internal and external customers and stakeholders to provide updates regarding progress on data requests to maintain effective service delivery
* Supply information under subpoena on behalf of the Registry, ensuring compliance with subpoena and related policies.
* Ensure availability, integrity, confidentiality and security of physical and electronic data, to responsively meet client and stakeholder needs, within limitation's of legislation
Skills and Experience Required:
* Previous experience in similar role
* Demonstrate a sound understanding of technology relevant to the work unit, and identify and select the most appropriate technology for assigned tasks
* Use available technology to improve individual performance and effectiveness
* Make effective use of records, information and knowledge management functions and systems
* Support the implementation of systems improvement initiatives, and the introduction and roll-out of new technologies
