Healthcare Australia is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Support Worker to join our team in a casual role, providing support across the North and Northeast suburbs.

As a Home Care Support Worker with Healthcare Australia, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients living in their own homes or within a supported community setting.
Your role will involve assisting individuals with activities of daily living and helping them engage in their community.
Through a person-centred approach, you will work to empower clients to achieve their personal goals and promote their independence.
What You'll Do: Client Care: Support clients using a person-centred approach, following their Individual Care Plan.Assist with daily routines and personal hygiene, including toileting, showering, dressing, and meals.Help with medication support, as per your training and the client's care plan.Be ready to respond promptly if a client's health deteriorates by contacting emergency services, HCA, or your supervisor.Help create a safe environment that reduces challenging behaviours, as per the behaviour support plan.Encourage client participation in activities and community events, including transportation to social venues, appointments, and shopping.
Care Environment: Work in the client's home or a supported community setting, following all policies, procedures, and documentation requirements of Healthcare Australia and the relevant setting.Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses in line with the NDIS Act and relevant frameworks.
Shifts available in: North and Northeast suburbs.
What we are looking for: Qualifications / Requirements: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, Home & Community, or YouthCurrent CPR/BLS Certificate.Current First Aid Certificate.Current Police Check (within the last 6 months).Up-to-date vaccination status (as per Healthcare Australia and current legislative requirements).Australian Driver's Licence (unrestricted).Registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle Skills and Experience: Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.Proficient in the safe use of manual handling equipment, including hoists and slide sheets.Excellent time management abilities and a reliable work ethic.6–12 months of experience in a support worker role (preferred).
