You will be assigned suitable projects to complete to a high standard during your placement.Your initial activities will include spending time with different teams on site, including:Maintenance Delivery Team: Ensuring day-to-day maintenance is delivered to the highest engineering and safety standards.Engineering Team: Planning for long-term strategic engineering activities.Production Team: Understanding how the power station operates and how the systems link together.Following these introductions, you will form part of the Engineering team and will be involved in:The planning, development, and safe execution of a range of works in a large complex industrial environment.Working with a diverse group of people, including managers and the executive team.Supporting the development of low carbon, sustainable solutions.Utilising and developing additional skills beyond your technical capabilities.Your profileAn Engineering Student will be:Studying in an Electrical/EC&I field, working towards a degree level qualification in Engineering.Knowledge of high and low voltage distribution systems is advantageous.Enthusiastic, passionate, and inquisitive with a dedication to achieving a career in engineering.Confident in using Microsoft packages with good analytical and commercial skills.Organised and meticulous, able to work to strict deadlines.The duration of your placement will be 48 Weeks beginning September 3rd 2024.
