Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
This role provides a regular assessment and treatment service to our residential aged care facility, Illoura.
Illoura is a 72-bed facility providing high standards of care to people in our community, incorporating residential aged care beds, a memory support unit, and transition of care programs.
The care team at Illoura includes registered nurses, enrolled nurses, diversional therapists, lifestyle assistants and health care workers and is supported by skilled administrators and volunteers. Our qualified staff are highly skilled and provide care for residents who are frail, who have complex medical conditions or who have dementia.
It requires the successful candidate to work closely with the foot care nurse on site and will have the support of senior clinicians at NHW if required. Experience working in the aged care environment is desirable. We welcome all telephone enquiries and are open to discussions to support flexible work arrangements. Classification will be based on relevant experience and in line with the current EBA requirements.
