Aurizon seeks to recruit an Engineer to support the delivery of rail projects focused on Construction Management and Engineering Support for High Voltage Overhead and Power Systems.
Opportunities exist for experienced Engineers looking to take the next step in their career and join our Program Management Electrical Engineering team.
About the role: Organise and plan construction works and associated technical aspects of Projects including developing and managing; cost estimates, internal and external resource requirements, material requirements, integration with other work groups, staging requirements and construction programmes.
Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with design documentation, standards, specifications, and the safe operation of Aurizon's Rail Network.
Organise and prepare the associated quality & certification documentation.
Manage technical issues and support for day-to-day construction and operational activities.
Contribute to the development and review of technical aspects and strategies for new technologies and techniques applicable to Railway Traction systems/networks and coordinate implementation where applicable.
Identify requirements for new processes and standards and contribute to the development and implementation of new standards, specifications and work practices.
Flexible roster to suit project/business needs.
Travel required across Central Queensland Coal Network.
About you: Site Engineer Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering 3-5 years' engineering experience in Rail, Mining, Operations or Infrastructure Projects (Preferred) RPEQ Engineers will be considered for a Project Engineer Role based on experience Current Class C drivers' licence (mandatory).
Previous experience and background in Railway Traction, Distribution or Transmission construction/renewal projects (advantageous).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate/influence a range of stakeholders.
High level of skill in the development of technical, design, construction and maintenance engineering solutions, and the application of new technology and techniques.
High level of skill in planning, organising, and programming of infrastructure construction projects.
Willingness to travel for role as required.
There is a mix of office and field based work.
Willingness to complete preemployment medical testing.
