You'll be responsible for leading and delivering the cost estimating capability for Rawson Estimating, which includes development across the project and planning lifecycle. The position will be responsible for managing a team of Estimators and provides advice and technical solutions such as estimates, cost planning, budgets, and estimation assurance.As Estimating Manager reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:Work together with the General Manager of Operations to expedite the estimation process in accordance with predetermined deadlines, customer expectations and set a platform for increased commerciality.Lead estimating and cost management discipline across Contract Housing, B2B, Spec Homes, and Medium Density Projects, contributing to Rawson leadership and ensuring quality and consistency in estimating.Create, execute, and sustain the Estimating Management Plan to offer an overarching governance and strategy for the estimating process and application to support the Rawson strategy.Lead and coach team, ensure competency, cross-training, and skills improvement. Take corrective action when necessary.Monitor and manage Team performance by preparing project proposals, setting performance goals, monitoring progress, and identifying improvements opportunities.Communicate project strategy and benefits, evaluate progress, and provide compliance commentary.Define roles and responsibilities, set performance standards, develop team plans, give feedback, address performance issues, and monitor team performance. Support transformational change considering internal and external stakeholders.Ensure effective and open communication with stakeholders.To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:Appropriate qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, relevant discipline or equivalent experience.Previous experience as an Estimating Manager / Team leader in a residential setting.Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timerbline PlanSwift or similar).In-depth knowledge of building and construction processes, along with an understanding of building regulations and residential codes.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Effective communication skills.A positive attitude and team player temperament.Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at the same time.Comprehensive understanding in the application of risk management across the project and asset management lifecycles and experience leading risk management and analysis in a cost planning context.More than a place to work, Rawson Group is a place to grow.
