Your New Role
The Marketing Officer plays a vital role in shaping and sharing the story of Kildare Catholic College, ensuring that our values, culture, and achievements are celebrated both within our school community and beyond. This role is about more than just attracting new students—it is about strengthening our connection with current families, alumni, and the wider regional community. Through engaging storytelling and strategic communication, the Marketing Officer will highlight the excellence of our students and staff across all areas of school life—academics, sport, the arts, and co-curricular enrichment—while ensuring our Catholic heritage remains a central part of our identity.

Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated understanding of and respect for the College’s Catholic identity, values, and ethos, with the ability to authentically represent and promote the school’s culture and heritage.
* A minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, with the ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans that enhance brand identity and community engagement.
* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across multiple platforms, including digital, social media, and print, with experience in crafting compelling narratives that showcase an organisation’s strengths and achievements.
* Experience managing websites and content, social media platforms, and digital marketing campaigns, with a strong understanding of audience engagement strategies and brand consistency.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets, draft press releases, and manage media opportunities to positively position the College within the broader community.
* Experience in promoting events, such as Open Days and school celebrations, ensuring they effectively showcase the College’s culture and offerings.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams, including school leadership, staff, students, parents, and external providers.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to maintaining high-quality, professional communication that aligns with the school’s brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
* Availability to support and attend key school events outside standard work hours, as required.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise professionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to critically analyse and interpret data (e.g., quotations and cost comparisons) and synthesise practical recommendations or actionable objectives.
* Highly organised individual with abilities in task and work allocation and prioritisation, in a busy service-oriented team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to take initiative with idea generation, problem resolution, and process improvement.
* NSW Working with Children Check.
* Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
Desirable Criteria
* Ability to use the Compass platform is desired.
* Qualification in photography or graphic design is preferred.
* Tertiary qualification in marketing, communication, or journalism or relevant industry experience is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with graphic design, photography, and video production, with the ability to create or oversee the development of high-quality promotional materials is desirable.
