Director - Australia at Amida Recruitment LtdMarket leading and growing civil contracting business with a national presenceExcellent career progression & company culture, blue chip clientsProjects located across Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter Valley regionGreat opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as civil, demolition, remedial, rehabilitation, excavation, crushing, recycling etc.Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for a Graduate / Site Engineer to join their growing business as part of their informal Graduate Program.Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, power stations, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.Types of projects include civil works, demolition, excavation, retention, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation, recycling, crushing, piling, foundations etc.The project works will primarily be of a civil and demolition nature with typical values from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $50m. Travel to the sites is required for this role, projects are located across the Newcastle, Maitland and Hunter Valley region.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working on tendersPlanning and scheduling of construction activitiesManagement of site project teams safelyQuality Assurance, Cost and Time ManagementPreparation of management reportsResolving site issues in a timely mannerLiaising with key clients and stakeholdersCoordinating internal and external resourcesQualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar0-2+ years’ management experience on civil construction projectsProject management qualifications will be advantageousProven understanding of construction with a hands-on approachProven ability to effectively lead and delegateEffective problem solving abilitiesAbility to resolve conflict and manage client expectationsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIf you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on “Apply” to submit your resume.
