Job Description / The Role –
Toll Group are looking for an experienced Senior Scheduler to join our Resources and Industrials division based in East Rockingham. You will play an essential role in managing a high-performing, positive, and safety-obsessed team culture. As the Senior Scheduler you will Plan, manage and facilitate the total fuel fleet scheduling and stock control activities for Toll’s metro contracts.
The Senior Scheduler will ensure that tasks are completed in the most efficient manner within agreed standards in operational procedures including strong emphasis on safety requirements. Be responsible for the allocations and despatch of Toll loads, regularly communicating with drivers and stakeholders, compliance and managing staff to ensure business objectives are achieved in a safe and cost-effective way.
Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Senior Scheduler –
* Responsible for the full management of driver and asset availability for the metro contracts.
* Provide accurate and quantitative data in relation to contract KPI’s to the operational team daily.
* Responsibility for the planning and coordination through shift and driver management regarding the related activities for assigned contracts.
* Effective, timely and accurate reporting of all incidents to Toll Fuels & Gases and client.
* Comply with CoR (Chain of Responsibility) requirements, Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Load Restraint, and all aspects of the WAHVR.
* Ensure all drivers / subcontractors used have been appropriately reviewed in accordance with contractor management procedures, overseeing fleet licensing requirements / allocation / permits.
* Ensure that rosters are adhered to and issued for Drivers on a weekly basis, considering adhoc variations as required, to meet client requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* Previous experience within a similar role within Transport/Logistics industry.
* A positive attitude and appetite to learn.
* Demonstrated experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management desirable but not essential.
* An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve.
* Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.
* Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
