Senior Configuration Management Specialist
Intelligence & Cyber International (ICI) Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane
The Opportunity:
As part of the Engineering team, this role will report to the L3Harris Space & Airborne Systems Australia (SASA) Engineering Manager but will be allocated full time to the Project with the responsibility for the successful delivery of the configuration management for this key Project. The Project includes ASDEFCON PM, engineering and ILS requirements. The role is responsible to the Project Management Team for the delivery of the configuration control aspects of the Project and will work in partnership with various managers to lead and manage configuration control processes and outputs through the design and delivery process.
The CM will have responsibility for the effective configuration management and accurate reporting of configuration records and data within the Project. The successful candidate will have formal configuration qualifications and demonstrated experience in delivering product configuration control within an engineering and ASDEFCON environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The primary focus of this role will be to maintain the L3Harris SASA CM systems covering the following: CM Planning, CM Identification, Change control, CM Status Accounting, and A Configuration Audits system.
2. The role will be required to work with the Engineering Manager to maintain the L3Harris SASA Configuration Management (CM) System, incorporating development and maintenance of the L3Harris SASA CM Manual (CMM) and associated processes supporting the L3Harris SASA Engineering Management System (EMS).
3. Maintenance and coordination of the Change control system within the L3Harris SASA EMS and regulatory and/or project requirements.
4. Coordinating Configuration Control Boards, agendas, minutes and action items. Producing records and artifacts of Material System Reviews (MSR) and associated action items.
5. Establishment of Functional, Allocated and Products baseline records. Maintenance of the status accounting system for tracking of baseline artefacts and changes made to them through the change control processes.
6. Conducting Functional and Physical audits at the appropriate project milestones.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Configuration Management qualifications (CMTF Level 3, CMII PRO or equivalent)
* Extensive experience in Configuration Management of complex projects
* Demonstrated experience working in ASDEFCON projects involving engineering design
* Experience with PLM applications
* Demonstrated experience in leading a team
* Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
