The Opportunity
The Construction Manager is accountable to the Project/Program manager for the vessel build aspects of projects/programs and that they are delivered to the cost, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction requirements. The Construction Manager will manage a multi-disciplined construction team and drive performance by utilising Project management principles and functional enablement to deliver on the project's/program's commitments. The Construction Manager will provide leadership and coaching to the construction teams to ensure vessel construction is achieved safely and to the required quality standards.

Enable and empower the construction team to deliver to cost, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction standards.
Utilising Project Management principles, develop a culture of best practice in construction management, project delivery and leadership.
Identify, develop, and implement a construction plan that will ensure outputs are delivered consistently.
Develop and performance manage against an approved and baselined schedule.
Safety leadership.
You'll need
Essential
3+ Years' experience in a Project/Production Leadership role.
10+ years' experience in the shipbuilding industry.
Good management skills and team building capability.
Good communications skills, and proven stakeholder management ability.
Competency in Microsoft office.
Understanding of project management principles including Earned Value Management.
Desirable
Qualification in Project Management
Experience in a Project Management role or equivalent
A good understanding of Earned Value Management
Knowledge of ship operation and management
Knowledge of facility management
