We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Architect to join our team. In this role, you will lead a small team of four people and oversee the design and delivery of technical solutions, working closely with internal teams, including Sales, Delivery, and Operations. Acting as a key point of contact between sales/pre-sales and delivery teams, you will ensure that proposed solutions are commercially viable, deliverable, and supportable post-sale. You will also engage with customers to build strong relationships while driving the overall profitability and success of each solution.
The day to day
* Analyse customer requirements and design solutions that meet their needs, often spanning multiple technology stacks.
* Collaborate with the Sales team during pre-sales activities, providing demonstrations, presentations, and consultations.
* Articulate the business value and ROI of our solutions to customers, aligning with Optus’ sales methodology.
* Ensure solutions adhere to governance standards and effectively mitigate risks.
* Work with internal teams and vendors from pre-sales through to solution handover and implementation.
* Maintain strong relationships across departments within Optus and with external vendors, driving innovation and customer satisfaction.
Your skills to pay the bills
* Strong experience in technical design and ICT/telecommunications systems architecture.
* Expertise in multiple Telco/ICT domains, such as Mobility, IoT, SDWAN, Security, and Core Telco.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships, ensuring successful solution delivery.
* Strong consulting and ICT sales skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Experience with service management methodologies and solution governance.
* Relevant industry qualifications such as ITIL, Prince2, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
