The Role: The Psychologist - Diabetes Services will: Deliver quality psychological assessment and therapeutic services at the Diabetes Centre and to clients of the North West.
Undertake a leadership role and maintain specialised knowledge to contribute to clinical best practice for psychology services provided within the Diabetes Centre in accordance with organisational policies, best practice standards and the professional code of conduct of the Australia Psychology Society.
Participate as a member of the Diabetes Centre multidisciplinary team in the provision and evaluation of services across the continuum of care in the North West.
Coordinate psychology services provided by the Diabetes Centre, plan and develop innovative best practice strategies for the psychological care of patient with diabetes and morbid obesity in the region.

The Team: The North West Diabetes Centre delivers multidisciplinary care and manages both type 1 and complex type 2 diabetes in adults, adolescents, and children through both inpatient and outpatient services across the north west region of Tasmania.
Further, the Diabetes Centre provides education and in-service to health professionals and teachers concerning diabetes management.

Salary: $103,608 - $119,430 per annum (pro rata) + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging Please note that access to salaries beyond $111,964 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professional Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.
