The Security Operations Centre Specialist provides industry-leading security management, monitoring, administration, and support services to Optus Enterprise Business and clients.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage day-to-day security operations using various security technologies such as Tenable, Splunk, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Cisco ISE, Firepower IPS/IDS, Cisco ESA/WSA or similar technologies
* Identify threats within the Government Technical Assistance Centre and agency environments using the SIEM and other forensic tools
* Understand the customer-specific circumstances and the associated risks and opportunities posed by the environment
* Correlating data from various sources to provide observations to internal Optus Stakeholders
* Maintain a complete and current understanding of the effectiveness of the supporting security operations
Requirements:
* Experience as a Security Specialist in security operations
* Scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, etc.) is desired for reporting purposes
* Experience in assessing information security solutions with working experience on Security products that will include some of the following: SIEM, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Management, Proxies, Endpoint Protection
* Certification(s) in Cyber Security, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, CCSE, Security+, or similar preferred
* Awareness of ASCS ISM, ISO 27001 and SOC2 standards
* Australian Citizen for Security Clearance purposes
