Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to assist them in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life. You will provide practical assistance with daily living activities, as well as offer emotional support, ensuring that each client’s needs are met in a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist clients with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility
2. Provide support with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, and housework
3. Help clients participate in social, recreational, and community activities
4. Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with clients and their families
5. Monitor and record progress and report any changes to senior staff
6. Foster a positive, supportive relationship with clients, encouraging independence and confidence
7. Administer medication, as required, following proper protocols
8. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of clients and staff
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a similar support worker role
2. Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or related field (preferred)
3. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient with a genuine desire to make a difference
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
7. Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
8. A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (required)
9. Current Blue Card (required)
10. NDIS Check/Yellow card (or willingness to obtain)
