The Role Working as the 2iC to the CFO, you will have responsibility for: Responsible for compliance and regulatory requirements, including SOX audit, US GAAP.
Preparation and thorough review of management reports, including P&L statement, cashflow forecasting, and balance sheet.
Working closely with the leadership team and business unit managers, setting revenue targets and resource planning to coordinate the annual budget.
Monthly forecasts, variance analysis and commentary.
Statutory reporting in accordance with all relevant AASB & IFRS standards.
Managing working capital.
Assist with the management of group treasury function to ensure that liquidity and foreign currency risk are managed.
Maintaining the cost standards, maintaining master data, analysing production costs, inventory management.
Staff management of the operational finance team.
This is a relatively lean team, so the expectation is for someone happy to be 'hands-on'.
Your Background This is a key role to the successful management of the Australian business.
The CFO is looking for candidates with the following backgrounds: Essential Criteria/Non-negotiables: CA or CPA fully qualified Strong FMCG, Pharmaceutical or similar industry backgrounds.
Comprehensive understanding of distribution channels, rebates, supply chain, stock & inventory, etc.
Staff management experience of at least 3-4 people.
US GAAP/SOX reporting experience.
Experience working in a smaller finance team, perhaps a USA subsidiary with the ability to still be 'hands-on' when it comes to the coordination of month-end reporting.
Desirable criteria The CFO will look most favourably on candidates who also have: SAP system experience Have trained in a Big4 CA firm, and will also most likely be CA qualified.
