Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel with a strong background in employment law to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive high-impact cases and build relationships with clients across a wide array of industries. Working closely with our leadership team, the successful candidate will play an integral role in both the strategic and operational success of our employment practice area, with the potential for future leadership opportunities within the firm. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage complex employment law matters, including workplace disputes, compliance, WHS matters, and employment-related litigation. Advise clients on workplace policies, contracts, terminations, and regulatory compliance, providing high-level strategic insights. Develop and nurture client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to employers across various sectors. Collaborate with partners to contribute to the firm's employment law practice growth and develop new client opportunities. Mentor and guide junior associates, ensuring they meet high standards of practice and professionalism. Stay current with developments in employment law and WHS regulations, proactively advising clients on relevant changes. Key Requirements Minimum of 6-8 years of post-qualification experience specializing in employment law and workplace relations. Proven track record in handling complex employment matters, including litigation, mediation, and workplace advisory. Demonstrated client service excellence and strong communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Deep knowledge of employment law and WHS regulations, with a proactive approach to regulatory changes. Previous experience in a boutique or specialist firm environment is advantageous.
