Job Title: Nurse Unit Manager Lvl 1
Location: Goulburn, Southern NSW Local Health District
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Southern NSW Local Health District. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve high-quality patient care.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Coordinate and manage the ward/unit or clinical service and its resources
* Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary healthcare team
* Implement continuous quality improvement programs, policies, and procedures
* Contribute to the implementation of operational/business plans and create a positive workplace culture
* Manage and coordinate clinical services and allocate and monitor resources to meet service and financial performance targets
Selection Criteria:
* Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in the field or equivalent work experience
* Demonstrated effective communication and negotiation skills
* Demonstrated knowledge of professional practice and proven skills in assessing and supervising competence and performance of staff
* Proven ability to contribute to the implementation of operational/business plans and create a positive workplace culture
* Demonstrated capacity to manage and coordinate clinical services
