We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced ECC Veterinarian seeking a predominately clinical role with some managerial duties including overseeing and ensuring clinical excellence of the ECC department. Where you will be working: As a multidisciplinary Veterinary Hospital, we are proud to offer Western Sydney pet owners and their pets access to Best Care Emergency and Specialist services. You will be working in a brand-new purpose-built Veterinary hospital with access to a full range of diagnostic imaging including high-field MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy and Ultrasound. A state-of-the-art ICU, three operating theatres, integrated RX works and Smartflow to support patient management. The building incorporates dedicated training facilities including wet lab and education centre to train the future generation of veterinary professionals. About the role: As an ECC Clinical Director of ARH Greater Western Sydney you will play an integral part of the growth of the hospital. This is a predominantly clinical role with some admin/management responsibilities, and your time will be spent: Working as an ECC Veterinarian across a mixture of shifts- days, evenings, overnights and weekends, with a roster defined in collaboration with the Business manager with your work-life-balance in mind. Establishing best practice processes for the department. Communicating the vision of the hospital and key department updates to your team to promote a positive work environment. Ensuring the department meets financial targets to sustain growth. Working with the business manager and other department heads to develop growth strategies. Supporting your team by providing feedback and conducting performance reviews to identify their areas of current success and areas for their future professional growth. Assisting with recruitment activities by building on your current team and identifying complementary skills. Becoming a first aid officer with the appropriate training, as deemed by management. Skills & experience required: You must hold a veterinary degree available for registration in New South Wales. Minimum of 5+ years working in a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Care hospital. A demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams. Strategic thinking to refine and grow the service. Management training (formal or informal through CPD) would be advantageous.
